Baby Hates Bottle

My girl loves the boob (as does the chef:). She eats alot. She's three months old and barely fits into 6 month clothes. She's big. She's thriving. Girl loves life. What girl doesn't love is the bottle. In fact she hates the bottle. She absolutely refuses to take it.

Which is making mamma crazy.

We (my mother in law & I) have been trying to get her to use the bottle. I drop Lou off for a couple hours and pray she takes it. But she doesn't. She just screams. And screams. And screams.

What's a girl to do?

Today I introduced her to my new best friend Earth's Best Organic Rice Cereal. She loved it. Girl ate like 4 ozs in two minutes.
Thank you JEBUS!

My youngest was the same way. Even when I went back to work, he grudgingly took small sips from a bottle to rid himself of hunger pangs until I could be there to nurse him again. Our sitter was thrilled when he finally mastered the fine art of the sippy cup. Glad she's taking the cereal! She's a beautiful, fat little thing!

I can't believe how MUCH she hates it. By four months Catcher was feeding himself the bottle. He preferred it over my boobs. Crazy.

Yep, my oldest would switch easily from breast to bottle any time. The younger one acted like I was trying to pry a razor blade between his lips. They're like snowflakes...no two are alike!

My daughter recently started resisting the bottle but is 7 months old. She doesn't get it regularly anyway. It helped to set her in the Boppy w/ the bottle & let her feed herself. She got a real kick out of this. Glad to hear that the rice cereal has provided some freedom, although look out for constipation. Mine & all her friends were backed up quickly on rice, so oatmeal was the best alternative for us.

Yep she is crazy backed up- Did you just use baby oatmeal? Did you mix it with breastmilk?
