Boiling Water is not Cold

My dumb ass managed to get a pretty sweet burn last night. Not only did I dump scalding hot water on my thigh but I also managed to dump half the pasta I was cooking down the drain.

It was a really fun Friday night!

OUCH!!! I hope you have an aloe plant. Also, if you can get some, try lavendar oil. It really helps get rid of the sting.

Oh, yeah, and surely you've heard that the perfect remedy for any and all ouchies is wine, right?

Hello! My name is Heidi and I’m Kyle Roth’s cousin. I’ve been lurking on your blog (via Kyle/Erika’s blogs) and figured it was about time to de-lurk myself. Looking through your archives I’ve seen so many topics you’ve covered that all I can say is, “Yes! Right on.” I’ve found your blog quite refreshing. You tell it how it is, and hold nothing back, which I respect and admire.

Kyle and Erika have raved about Bar Cento/Chef Sawyer for months. Finally, on our most recent adventure to Cleveland (yesterday-we’re from Sandusky) we made it there. We tried out the fries (from recommendation of Kyle) and cannot even put into words how delicious they were. Add on the ambiance of the place and it made for an awesome experience. We can’t wait until our next visit to the restaurant so that we can try even more tasty dishes.

On another note, Kyle also introduced us to the idea of the new restaurant that’s in the works. We’re looking forward to the opening and what all is to come.

One last thing, I love your pups! My husband and I do not have children...our pets are our kids. Being a veterinary technician I feel you on the whole pitbull controversy. Pitbulls aren't vicious...and anyone who puts a label on them is ignorant.
